About Us

Ally Lactation was the dream of a team of lactation consultants who were friends working together in the same lactation department at a local hospital. This "Dream Team" has over 35 years of combined experience as lactation consultants and over 85 years combined experience working with mothers, fathers, and babies.

Sarah Bendure, RN, IBCLC finally started Ally Lactation and enlisted some of the original Dream Team to fulfill that calling as well. We believe that God has been our helper and ally, so we can be your allies as you endeavor to meet your feeding goals.

Our mission is to serve our community by advocating for and building trust with mamas, papas and babies, providing care, helping parents reach their feeding goals, and teaching them as they care for their newborns, infants, and children. We strive to offer the highest level of care by continually seeking research in the care we provide to breastfeeding / chestfeeding parents. We hope to support families of all types as they endeavor on their journeys. If you reach out for help, we hope to be your allies along the way.

 We are so excited to be officially partnered with The Lactation Network! This is an incredible organization that helps get insurance coverage for breastfeeding / chestfeeding help and support with lactation consultants like us.

For those who are in-network, the Lactation Network guarantees lactation consultations with a registered IBCLC, like us, at no out of pocket cost. They handle the paperwork and bill your and/or your infant's insurance, directly. We do ask that you verify coverage with The Lactation Network prior to your appointment.

 Whether your insurance is in-network or out-of-network, you are still able to book an appointment. Out-of-network appointments will be given a Superbill when payment is received at the end of the visit and, if desired, can file an out-of-network claim with insurance after the visit.  Some insurance companies will reimburse for those claims; although unfortunately we cannot be sure which will and which will not.  If you have any questions,  please feel free to message or call us.
