We are here to serve our community by advocating for and building trust with mamas, papas and babies, providing care, helping parents reach their feeding goals, and teaching them to care for their newborns, infants, and children.
We are officially partnered with Lactation Network! The Lactation Network does all of our insurance billing. If your insurance works with The Lactation Network then visits for breastfeeding / chestfeeding help and support with lactation consultants like us will be covered through The Lactation Network. If your insurance does not work with The Lactation Network or coverage is not verified with the Lactation Network prior to your visit, then the visit would be private pay. Private pay rates can be found here.
To check insurance coverage, and then to schedule a consultation with us:
Once you have checked on your insurance coverage, you can check online booking to schedule your appointment.
When booking an appointment, our electronic health record ChARM will securely store credit card information to be used only if needed to pay any no show or late cancelation/late reschedule fees as listed below or if private pay and card required for fee for service payment.
We are contracted with the Lactation Network for all of our insurance coverage. To see if The Lactation Network works with your insurance to cover visits, you will need to enter your information on The Lactation Network's website below. Once your information is entered, it can take about 1 business day to verify benefits and coverage with The Lactation Network.
Any first visit with each new child/pregnancy is considered an initial visit. If you are seeing a new provider, it is also considered an initial visit. Initial Visits typically take more time than follow up visits.
Visits on the weekend or on national holidays cost an additional $50 as these visits would be during typically closed working hours.
Virtual Appointments can only be done in limited situations as we are unable to do a weighted feed, a full oral assessment or other detailed assessments via telehealth. Telehealth visits would be primarily educational in nature like prenatal appointments or back to work consults. There is the possibility that a virtual visit would result in a referral for an in person visit if more in person assessment is needed.
Twin gestation visits and Co-Nursing Visits take substantially more time due to extra feeding assessments and as such, cost $100 more than a regular visit.
Any visits after the initial visit with a provider for a current pregnancy/child.

These fees cannot be billed to insurance and would be private pay/fee for service.
If you must change/cancel an appointment, we require 24 hours’ notice so we may accommodate other patients. We realize life happens and allow for one late cancellation/rescheduling before charging a fee.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may be rescheduled to ensure there is adequate time for your visit and subsequent patient visits and this fee may be charged in that instance also.
Credit/Debit card information may be collected when booking an appointment for fee payment purposes.
Your appointment is scheduled and time set aside to allow for enough time to provide the best service for you. If one hour or less notice is given to cancel/reschedule or if you do not show for a scheduled appointment, then you will be charged the full cost of the visit. This cost cannot be billed to insurance and is private pay. Because this does not allow us time to accommodate any other patients, and we would oftentimes already be on site prepping, we charge this fee for every instance.
Please note that late cancellation/reschedule and no show fees cannot be billed to insurance. Credit/Debit card information may be collected when booking for fee payment purposes and would be charged as necessary. Severe weather warnings allow for exceptions to this category of fees to provide for patient and consultant safety.
"I’ve referred to Sarah for lactation for over 5-10 years. She is very kind and relaxed and quickly builds an easy rapport with new moms working on breastfeeding. She is very thorough in her evaluation and clear in her education. She's consistent in sending detailed notes after appointments and on more than one occasion she has called to clarify any concerns she may have in regards to a patient. Sarah and Ally Lactation are my consistent "go to" for lactation services."
