Prenatal visits are encouraged during the developmental stages of your pregnancy. We take this time to address your breastfeeding / chestfeeding questions and concerns. Services during your visit can include prenatal counseling and education to address any risk factors or concerns as well as other lactation and feeding education so you may feel more comfortable when your baby arrives. We can also discuss hand expression and flange fitting and pump education so you are prepared going into the postpartum period.

To ensure that you receive the best possible care for you and your baby, our team is available with breastfeeding / chestfeeding help and support, and to answer any questions you may have. During a visit, we will work to help promote successful feedings and also help manage any concerns, challenges or roadblocks you may experience along the way. Postpartum visits are personalized but oftentimes include an oral and functional suck assessment, a feeding and latch assessment and weighted feed, a pump/flange fit and assessment and an assessment of your current plan and goals while developing your plan and goals going forward. We can also work to collaborate with other providers as needed. Sometimes working with your obstetric or pediatric provider or physical therapy, chiropractic, pediatric dentists, speech language pathologists, endocrinologists, psychiatrists or other specialists can be just the key to helping you and your baby. Our hope is to help you meet your feeding goals and to be your allies along your unique journey.
